Magnetic centrifugal pumps, which convert water into electricity, are making an impact in India and abroad.
A company called Magnetic Power Inc. is working with several Indian government agencies to make the machines commercially available.
It plans to use the pumps to power more than 1 billion households by 2020.
The company has already signed agreements with India’s state-run power distribution companies.
The pumps will be used for cooling the nation’s power grids and are part of a project that also includes pumping water for irrigation.
The pump factory is expected to employ around 2,000 people in its first year of operation.
The government has given $1 billion to the company, which will build and operate the pumps in three stages.
It expects to hire around 10,000 workers, with the remainder in the initial phase and then ramping up to 20,000.
The firm has also agreed to build a large cement factory in the city of Jaipur and is building an artificial island to be used as a tourist attraction.
The new venture aims to use magnets to control the flow of water.
The machines are made of steel, glass, and plastic and are equipped with sensors to detect the presence of air bubbles and other contaminants.
“The main advantage of using magnets is that they can be used in the most efficient way,” said Vishal Kumar, the CEO of Magnetic Power.
“You can’t use conventional pumps.
Magnetic centrifuge pumps are designed to be as efficient as conventional pumps in terms of both output and discharge.”
The company plans to start production in 2017.
It is building a 1,000-kilometer (600-mile) long, three-dimensional platform for the pumps.
The platform will be built on a 3-D printed platform.
“We are building a huge platform that will be able to support all the pump types and be able also to withstand a tremendous amount of water,” Kumar said.
The technology is being developed with the support of the Indian government’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Center (AMRC).
AMRC is an arm of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The AMRC has a research grant of $2 million from the government of India.
Magnetic Power plans to produce the pumps for a period of 10 years and will eventually sell them to government entities.
The goal is to generate revenue for the Indian economy.
The machine manufacturer is also looking to raise capital from outside the country.
The Indian government has also given the company $1.3 billion in funding.
The United States and China are also pursuing the same technology, according to Kumar.
In addition to manufacturing the machines, the company is also planning to create a manufacturing base in India.
“Magnetic Power plans on making its own electric motors, as well as a new electric engine,” said Kumar.
The electric engine is designed to use only magnets and the company will also develop a battery that can be stored for extended periods of time.
“Our goal is not to manufacture electric vehicles, but to build an electric vehicle factory,” said Ramakrishna Kumar, another member of the company.
The first step in this plan will be to produce a prototype.
Kumar said that they are planning to build prototypes of the prototype in the next few months.
The final product will be ready for use in 2021.
The manufacturing facility will be in a small village in Jaipoor, located in the middle of a water-rich area.
It will be home to the factory.
“It will be a huge factory, but it will not have a lot of workers,” said Raju Prakash, a professor of civil engineering at IIT Delhi.
Kumar says that the company plans on hiring 50 to 100 people for the first year, but that he expects to expand to at least 200.
The factory is also set to employ about 2,500 workers over the course of the project.
“This is the first time that we have seen this kind of technology being developed in India,” Kumar added.
“India is a very important market for us.”
